Current Skincare Routine

All of a sudden, out of the deepest darkest blue, I have become a girl who thinks and cares about skincare? I don't know how it happened, but it has hit hard! I find myself looking at cleansers and moisturisers just as much as lipsticks these days!

I don't think I'll ever be one to have all high end skincare, I like a mixture, I also like to try new things quite often and just change my routine around every now and again. With the selection of products I use at the moment my skin is in the best condition it has been in in a while so I thought they deserved a mention!

I'm not going to pretend that I'm one of those girls who always cleanses with a cream based cleanser first before going over my face again with a Micellar solution cleanser and a cotton pad, because some nights I really can't be bothered, but most nights I start my skincare regime by using the Good Things Fresh Start Creamy Cleanser. But like I say, if I don't have time, I never worry about it because Loreal's Micellar solution is an absolute life saver and amazing product. I follow up with it's sister, Loreal's Velvety-soft Toner, which is the only toner I've ever noticed a difference after using, my skin feels so smooth and clean, I really love it. For my moisturiser I use Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion + in a morning and Clinique's Moisture Surge in the evening, out of the two I'm definitely favouring Moisture Surge, it just makes your skin feel so refreshed and free after a day of make up, I love it and it's definitely worth a try.

Having a toddler has definitely encouraged my next step.. Clinique's All About the Eyes, for the moment I'm really enjoying using it, after a couple of weeks I started seeing definite improvements but I would also love recommendations for other eye creams if you think you've found a good one!

The last product on my list is a once a week affair, and it's an affair I'm going to carry on for a while! It's also a product I use in the shower instead of in my end of the day routine. Garnier's Pure Active Intensive Charcoal Scrub is actually amazing, I'm not even over hyping it. After a nasty spot my skin is left with a red mark for quite a few months (awesome I know), so when I saw the benefits on it's packaging I thought I'd give it a go, I was actually amazed from the first time I tried it, a few marks on my face hadn't completely gone, but they had faded and weren't nearly as obvious. It also feels really nice while you're using it as it foams up really nicely and the very fine pieces of charcoal are actually really gentle against the skin.
