The current love in my life is this tiny little bottle of matte Chanel goodness! After falling for Vitalumiere Aqua a few months ago I was excited/nervous about trying it's less dewy sister Perfection Lumiere Velvet.
The appeal of this foundation was the fact that it was matte, and being matte would obviously sit better on my oily skin and need less maintenance through out the day. I was worried about trying it after I first bought it though, as a few of my favourite bbloggers were saying they preferred Vitalumiere Aqua.. After using this for the last 2 weeks I can happily say there is nothing to worry about here. This foundation is beautiful! To the point where my boyfriend actually pointed out how nice my skin was looking (coming from a boy who hates make up, this meant a lot!).
I'm just going to bullet point the many pros to this foundation..
- It's matte, but not dull or flat
- Even though it's matte it still has a glow to it
- The shades are all perfect for going into the warmer weather
- I hardly ever have to reapply in the day (unless Poppy has been squirming around my face..)
- It barely creases under my eyes or around my mouth
- It sits on my oily skin and just stays, I don't have to faff with mirrors and brushes every 5 minutes
- It's scented, with it being Chanel, but it's really lovely and lighter than the Vitalumiere Aqua scent
- The bottle is super cute and would fit in any bag
- It's a really nice foundation to apply and isn't as runny as people are saying..
- It's also a quick one to apply, no buffing for 10 minutes every morning
- Even though it's rather expensive it's the nicest everyday foundation
I'm not sure whether I prefer it to Vitalumiere Aqua or not, I think they're both my tip top favourites, but it really is worth the money, I use it every day and love it every time I put it on. 10/10.
