First of all, for absolutely aaagggeeesssss I've been looking for a new skin care routine without spending an absolute bomb. So I was looking through Boots while the 3 for 2 offer was on the skin care isles, and I was looking at all the products I'd already tried and not really feeling like I wanted any of those brands again. Then Keir (my boyfriend) actually picked these up to show me. There were two types of cleanser, the Fresh Start Creamy Cleanser which I got or the Stay Clear Anti Blemish Cleanser, Both cleansers RRP at £4.99 and the Face The Day Moisturiser at £7.99. I decided to go for these two as they smell absolutely amazing! and I also like the fresh feeling in the morning and before I go to bed.
I've been trying these out for at least a week so I can give a proper review and have set opinions on both products.
I actually do like both products, the cleanser is creamy like it says on the packaging and I really like that as I feel like it's doing a more thorough job at removing my make up at night. It smells gorgeous and you don't need to use too much as it spreads out easily and evenly. As for the moisturiser, I'm happy with the product when I use it, but I'm finding that I can only use it at night as it's quite a thick moisturiser. The moisturiser being thick isn't a bad thing or anything, it just means it takes longer to sink into my skin and as I have a little girl, I can't really be taking too long between my skin care routine and my make up. So at night I use both products as the moisturiser slowly sinks in and leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft in the morning and still moisturised, without any product just sitting on top of the skin instead. In the morning I just use my lighter moisturiser Johnson's Daily Essentials 24 Hour Day Cream For Normal Skin which is really nice and sinks into the skin quite quickly and keeps my skin moisturised all day. After using these two for a week, I've actually seen a noticeable difference in my skin, it looks a lot brighter and fresh, and the area at the sides of my nose used to be prone to little bumps and redness, but for the last week I haven't had either of these issues which has resulted in using less concealer and I just feel a lot happier about my skin with and without make up.
So all in all I really do like these products and would recommend them, but I would obviously advise you to use my routine with them as well as that's when the they work best.
The picture above is to show just how creamy and thick the moisturiser is.
Let me know if you've tried anything from this brand before, and what you thought! I'd also love more skincare suggestions if you have any good ones. If you enjoyed today's post please leave your blog address in a comment below! :)
